This guy is one of the least known and most underrated black
herdsires in the country. Year after year he has produced award winning crias
with, at most, a dozen breedings a year. Any stud can produce award winners if
bred to hundreds of females. This guy consistently produces winners. The American-born offspring of New Zealand parents,
Maori offers the opportunity to bring new blood into your herd. A deep,
lustrous black with a micron count of 24.6 at eight years of age, Maori is a proven
herdsire with a strong record of black cria. He has a commanding presence
and a pleasant temperament. Maori's offspring won the juvenile female gray
class and took second in the yearling bay black class at MAPACA 2001. His gray
daughter was also Champion gray female. His first offspring in 2001
was the black color champion at the Eastern States Exposition 2001 and many
other cria have seen ribbons at major shows.
